Favourite Television Shows

Page history last edited by Manukau Learning 2.0 15 years, 2 months ago

Biting the Bullet here, my favourtie TV show would have to be House:

I love his cynicism and I appreicate most of all how difficult his job is in a currently very politically correct world. I appreciate watching his antics and what he has to do to get his diagnosis. Of course I also like how he is almost always right. Gives me something to work towards..

MiffyCat says: My favourite shows of the moment are:

Wild at Heart and:

"Who wants to be a Millionaire" - gotta love Kristin Castle!

List your Fave's here.

 Nana Six-NanaSeven

TV 1 Breakfast show with Paul and Pippa - gets my day off to a good start

Piha Rescue - Makes me really appreciate what these young ones do on a voluntary basis sometimes with very little appreciation.

All British Crime series

THE GOLF - on Sky live from all the beautiful courses around the world.

Jesus Freaks says: I quite like current affairs shows or travel shows e.g Lonely Planet and Intrepid Journeys. I don't mind some cooking shows and even the odd game show (especially of I can answer most of the questions!) "Border Patrol" and "Whats really in your food" and "Target" are very interesting and I like to watch T.V shows where they do up houses.  I don't mind talent shows such as  "So you think you can dance."  I used to love the Professionals when it was on years ago and I enjoy car shows such as "Top Gear" and "Fifth Gear." Having grown up in the country I enjoy watching "Country Calendar" depending on what the episode is about and the odd political satire/comedy can also be amusing!

Polyanna: I am a sucker for hospital shows - I watch Casualty, Holby City, Medical Emergency and my favourite - Bodies. Bodies is so realistic that I do have to look away sometimes, as the sight of all that blood and gore is enough to put me off my late-night snack!

My current favourites are: Doctor Who, Torchwood, Life on Mars, True, dare, Kiss (on UKTV on Sky), and, dare I say it,  ...  The Librarians - some horribly familiar people and situations there!!

catatonic-chataholic: NCIS (without a doubt, I even own the first 4 seasons - what a dork), Bones, CSI: Miami, Criminal Minds, CSI, Outrageous Fortune (am totally stoked there's finally some people who swear more than I do).

Newweb2: need I say it Cashmere Mafia, if you enjoyed Sex in the City you will enjoy watching this . My other faves are Bones, NCIS and CSI.

A Janeite: The BBC production of Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth as Mr Darcy.  Nothing else compares!

ROVE!!!

Hedgehog: Any Blakes 7 fans out there? More recent faves include The IT Crowd & Waking the Dead. And am getting a laugh out of The Librarians too!

Natalie at Digital: Knight Rider will always be one of my favourite shows, mainly for nostalgic reasons. I loved K.I.T.T. so much. The Addams Family had so much clever humour ... remember when Lurch wanted to knit a harpsicord? Thing was my favourite character. I loved the Next Generation Star Trek, but didn't get into the other incarnations so much. Father Ted ... love that one. I also really enjoyed Due South, the cop buddy show with the Canadian Mountie and the Italian Chicago detective.

ZeeLeeCee: NCIS -especially for Abby and Gibbs, CSI Miami -to mock the lame one liners and sunglasses, and Scrubs -for the daydreams.

Guesswho: one of my fav shows in LOST, im hooked.  even though i get more and more lost with every episode i love it!  another fav is Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles-- such a great show, full of action and makes me worry that one day machines may actually take of the world haha. o and im a big fan of Home away :D

Little Lady: Famous People's documentary, The Kitchen Job, Grand Designs, Target, What's really in your food?.

I have lots of favourites ... and the beauty of DVDs means that they don't have to be currently screening for me to still be watching them. Some ones that come to mind are 'Outrageous Fortune', 'Sex and the City', 'Extras', 'Dead like me' and quite a few SF ones - 'Doctor Who', 'Torchwood', 'Firefly', 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer', 'Angel', all the 'Star Treks', 'Stargate Atlantis', 'Farscape'.

Hmmmmm, where to start? Television Programmes are the best, well when I get the time to watch them. I like no brain, no thought provoking series' that I can miss out for weeks and come back to watch and it hasn't really moved on much, like soap operas, but also have major scandal in them. So where should I begin, Sex in the City, Brothers and Sisters, The L Word, Dirt, Home & Away, Shortland Street, Private Practice..... so many more... if you're really interested in what I'm writing and you're not just on here because you want to get the usb bracelet.... comment me on my blog page.... toodles!!!!
